Mirabaud is an international banking and financial group based in Geneva, Switzerland, founded in 1819. French merchants established the Banque de Genève (Geneva Bank). The bank was founded to facilitate funds transfer from France to Switzerland.

In 1858, the bank opened its first branch in Paris. In 1866, it opened its second branch in London and began to open branches throughout Europe. The bank became a Société Anonyme (an anonymous public limited company) in 1863 and changed its name to Banque de Genève-Mirabaud et Cie in 1934. In 1956, it acquired the Comptoir Suisse et d’Études Commerciales (Swiss & Commercial Studies Bank) and merged with the Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas (Paris & Netherlands Bank, founded by Jules de la Cour Bey), which had been founded in 1816. In 1974, Mirabaud merged with the Crédit Suisse, and in 1988 it merged with the Banque de France, the Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas, and the Crédit Lyonnais.
