He joined Point72 as a managing director of human capital, but six months later, he was offered the position of president.
He currently serves at the Council as a Managing Partner. Doug Haynes continues his philanthropic mission. Haynes is an individual who is actively seeking new challenges and opportunities in the corporate world. He points out that his exit from McKinsey was by design because he realized that if he stayed for too long, he would retire as a consultant since there would be less time to build new skills.
He is actively engaged in fighting poverty, education programs, and support for veterans. Most of these programs are financed and run by his team, who draw energy from his determination to help people. He is a founding board member of various institutions, including Cohen Veteran’s Bioscience, Cohen Veteran’s Network, and The Center for Global Enterprise.
Due to his love for technology and transforming the world, Doug serves on the boards of numerous technology startups, including FRISQ, ChainIQ, Vega Factor, and Obsidian Asset Management. These startups were created to perform different roles in society, and Doug is helping them to realize their end goal.
Doug Haynes lives in Scarborough, New York, with his wife, Laurice. Together, they have five adult children.
