A Look Into the Success Journey of California-based Businessman, Jason Hughes

Successful businessman and CEO Jason Hughes, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), chairman, and founder of Hughes Marino, LLC, is an important figure in the US housing industry. Jason began a career in buyer and seller representation within the realty sector at Cushman & Wakefield (Ideamensch).

The businessman worked at the Los Angeles-based firm throughout time in the 1980s. Jason Hughes later decided that moving to San Diego, California, would be better for his career. In San Diego, he represented municipal, nonprofit, and corporate tenants at their purchase and lease negotiations. He has continued to do business for close to thirty years. Along with his wife Shay Hughes, Jason has been an influential figure within the commercial property space.

His company’s roots can be traced to San Diego, the largest buyer, and seller representation firm. Hughes Marino, LLC has also expanded into other areas of the US, led by Jason Hughes. The couple is focused on offering their clients more unique representation services to remain top market leaders. Offering new experiences, results guarantees, and adding service have ensured that these two maintain a large client following. Since Hughes is a key person in the industry, he has even created and helped pass new legislation like SB 1171.

The proposed bill was signed by Governor Brown in 2014 and gained effect in January of 2015. The new law helps to increase the transparency of sellers for the benefit of commercial tenants. The law was especially vital since tenants need to be informed when dealing with a representative of both landlords and tenants. For Jason Hughes, although there is a conflict of interest, the law ensures that the tenants are well-informed before entering any contract.
