Norman Pattiz Announces Results Of Studies Conducted By Edison Research

Norman Pattiz, the Executive Chairman for PodcastOne, announced the results of a podcast advertising study. This was a series of three comprehensive studies, conducted using five major national consumer brands across five different product and service categories.

Surveys taken online line before and after then campaign had run for 4 to 6 weeks, showed a positive response to new messaging and became more likely to consider the advertised product for purchase. The focus is to show that podcast advertising can be more effective than traditional methods. Edison Research and PodcastOne were excited to partner with the five companies to show how effective podcast advertising is.

PodcastOne is the nation’s leading advertiser supported podcast network. It was founded by Norman Pattiz, who also founded radio giant Westwood One. The network boasts over 340 hours of original programming each week. It features 200 of the most popular podcasts.

Norman Pattiz is the Founder and Executive Chairman of PodcastOne, which he launched in 2013. He has over 40 years of experience in radio syndication. He also founded Westwood One, which for many years was America’s largest provider of news, sports, entertainment, and talk. In 2010 he founded and launched the Courtside Entertainment Group. This company produced and distributed programming.

Norman Pattiz was appointed in 2000 by President Clinton to serve on the Broadcasting Board of Governors of the United States of America. He was then reappointed in 2002 by President Bush. The Board oversees all U.S. nonmilitary broadcasting services.

He was inducted in 2009 into the National Radio Hall of Fame. He also received the Giants of Broadcasting Award from the Library of American Broadcasting.

He is the Chairman of the Lawrence Livermore and Los Alamos National Security Laboratories. He is a Regent of the University of California, as well as a member of the Council of Foreign Relations, and the Pacific Council on International Relations.
