The Fund was began using $3.1 Million that was acquired from a court settlement. The fund therefore, helps support other organizations, such as the American Civil Liberties Union of Arizona and Arizona Dream Act Coalition in their fight for human and civil rights. To further the course of the fund, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin recently introduced the Borderline Issue Chair, a forum that creates awareness in schools and institutions. The program helps students to access materials and share information regarding human, civil and immigrants’ rights.
